Why Fly With Germania

How to Check in

For flights departing from Ben Gurion Airport, you must arrive at the check-in counter three hours before departure. The counters will be closed one hour prior to departure. For your return flight from Germany, you can arrive two hours before taking off, and the counters will be closed 45 minutes prior to scheduled departure time.

Baggage Allowances and Fees

The carry-on baggage allowance is quite small, only 6 kg per passenger. The dimensions must not exceed 55x40x20 cm. In addition, you may bring a laptop bag or a small lady’s handbag. The checked baggage allowance, however, is generous: 25 kg per person on all routes between Israel and Germany, and the weight can be split between two bags. The maximum size is 158 cm (height+length+width). If you need an extra allowance, you can purchase it for €10 per kg per piece of luggage. The maximum weight allowed per item is 32 kg.

Seating

The seat pitch (distance between your seat and the seat in front of you) on the Airbus A319 is 76 cm. You can reserve a standard seat in advance for €10. For extra legroom, you can select an XL seat for €30. During the booking process, only XL seats in the first row are available. Other XL seats in the emergency exit doors are available during check-in.
