The closest gas station to Langkawi Airport LGK is a Petronas gas station just off route 116. It takes a little over 10 minutes to drive from there back to the airport. It’s important to refuel your tank if your car rental agreement has a full-to-full fuel policy.

Getting to your destination with a car rental from Langkawi Airport

As expected from a paradise island like Langkawi, the pace of life here is slow, and this is reflected on the roads. It’s not unusual to stop your vehicle for a few minutes for the occasional herd of buffalo, but generally, streets are quiet and free of traffic. Route 112 which travels towards Kuah town and route 114 which goes north along the coast are leading the way out of the airport.

Although it’s challenging to get lost in Langkawi with a road running around the island’s entire perimeter, road signs and road names can be a bit chaotic and untrustworthy. Roads are in good condition but there are only a few gas stations, and they are far between, so drivers should fill up when they can. Driving is on the left side of the road so make sure you are comfortable before hitting the road with a car rental Langkawi Airport.

Kuah is a 22-minute drive from Langkawi Airport via Jalan Padang Matsirat or 25 minutes taking route 112 south. Parking is available throughout the town, particularly around the jetty.

Telaga Tujuh Waterfalls (Seven Wells Waterfall) - מפלי שבעת הבארות

It’s probably Langkawi’s most beautiful attraction, and the locals claim it is home to fairies. Seven natural pools connected by waterfalls allow visitors to swim and bathe with views of the seafront below. You can also trek up to the top of the hill, it can be reached in about 45 minutes of walking. The hike can be a little challenging, but it rewards hikers with incredible views from the top and a variety of local flora, fauna, and wildlife including monkeys and exotic birds along the way. The Langkawi Cable Car is also a great attraction here.

The Telaga Tujuh Waterfalls are just 20 minutes’ drive from Langkawi Airport via route 114, and the distance is 13.3 km. Parking at the waterfalls is easy. There is a large parking lot at the base of the hill which costs MYR 2 to enter.

Pantai Tengah - פנטאי טנגה

One of the most beautiful on the island of Langkawi os Pantai Tengah.
