Beautiful getaway.

Collis Hill is a wonderful place for a getaway. The Ticha is great, very nicely equipped, lovingly and warmly furnished. The kitchen has everything one needs. Breakfast is left at the door in a bag with many delicious items. We also cooked for ourselves at times. The Schlutzkrapfen from the self-service stand in the garden were fantastic!
The view and hiking opportunities are amazing.
All in all: 5/5 with an unconditional desire to return.

Perfect until the start... An unacceptable situation follows!...

The site is beautiful and the cottage, well equipped, was pretty. The reservation was made for 3 PEOPLE with breakfast included for 2. We were upgraded by the host (without request from us, I specify), ok nice. The Host, Katrin, asked us what time to bring us breakfast, we asked 7.30am. On the first day, breakfast was served at the requested time. The second day, having to leave early, breakfast was late and we could not enjoy it. Nothing serious, we did without.. When we left, no one was present at the Welcoming, so we left the key and immediately sent a polite message to warn. In return, we received a message with an unpleasant tone telling us that we still had to pay breakfasts (of the 3rd person) and tourist tax. We replied that there were no worries and that we will pay without problem what we owe....
And this is where everything spoils!
We received the invoice, which amounted to ... 185 €!!!!! With, in addition to the tourist tax and breakfasts, an unacceptable supplement for the third person!!...
And I repeat, yet the 3rd person was included in the reservation and well noted on the payment receipt!!!
We have involved the booking body because this is absolutely unacceptable!! We haven’t seen it since we traveled. After a long exchange, a waste of time and energy, we didn’t have to pay anything, because the booking organization managed the problem, and I thank them for that.
But the damage was done!!. This ruined us a good part of the holiday as we still do not understand the host’s approach to asking us for extra costs for this 3rd person.
So dear Katrin, we didn’t appreciate your messages following our departure, in an aggressive and unpleasant tone, yet we had committed to pay what we owed, without problems (read your messages again). You told us yourself, in your last message that you are "...especially concerned about the message of the guests"... And following this last exchange we receive your invoice of 185€!
I don’t understand the process at all, especially since everything is noted on the payment receipt.
This is totally UNACCEPTABLE!

Anything but ordinary! Come to rest in a very special place ...

For my husband and I it is clear: no other place (we know very, very many places ) is better suited to feel good, let go and recharge your batteries than the COLLIS HILL. Incredibly beautiful location! Living there is pure well-being. Nonplusultra is the ingenious atmosphere and extraordinary concept created by the imaginative hostess and her great team.

A truly unique and amazing stay for hiking holiday

One of the best places I have stayed at (and I have been travelling a lot)! Such a unique and amazing place with great hiking trails close by, beautiful views, calm space that really makes one relax, extremely tasty breakfast, fantastic and personal service. If one wanted more "entertainment", there were movie nights in the barn across from the main house and there were also good opportunities to arrange a BBQ. I and my partner stayed a week and it was the most fantastic holiday week! There are many superlatives to describe Collis Hills and I (and my partner) truly, truly highly recommend a stay at Collis Hill!
