Everything was perfect! The owners are very friendly and they have a translator machine to speak with foreigners. The room is clean and huge with a splendid view. For some reason they keep live peacocks in the hotel lounge and other animals as well, but everything is very clean! The hotel is in excellent location, near the main street in the old town.
They also helped us a lot to find a vegetarian restaurant and other things. Very recommended.

Owner lady is very friendly and helpful. Location is convenient place in old city. I want to come to Datong
to stay this house.

The hotel was amazing. Perfect position for visiting Datong old city, very near to all tourist attractions. The busses for the Hanging Temple and the Yungang Grottoes are right beside the hotel entrance. The room was very spacious and adequately clean. The staff does not speak English but they do their best to help. Price is very low for the service. Highly recommended

I had the most beautiful time in Datong, and a big part of that was due to my stay at Renyi Inn! First of all, the host is so kind and friendly. She always greets you with a smile. She even brought fresh watermelon for free everyday to my room :) more importantly, the whole hotel as well as the room we're super clean. The interior was so beautifully traditional. And it's only a 3min walk away from the major temple and all the main shopping streets. If you stay in Datong (which you definitely should, it has so much to offer), stay at Renyi Inn!

Renyi Inn was a fabulous stay in a renovated hutong with modern amenities. There is a beautiful courtyard with a koi pond, parrots, and chipmunks that looked so inviting and zen. There is absolutely no noise at night and I am a light sleeper. In the morning, we were greeted by the sight of a peacock preening, it was such an amazing surprise! The landlady was so nice and helpful. Language was no barrier with Google translate.The room itself was split level and decorated beautifully. It was such a gem find! Will definitely return.
