Located in the town of Skiathos, 250 metres from the centre, Alkyon is a seafront hotel with a lovely pool with sun terrace surrounded by lush greenery. Its air-conditioned rooms feature a private balcony.

There’s much to like about the hotel aside from its ideal location near the port, airport and Skiathos town. We received complementary drinks upon our check in and a complimentary bottle of wine if we dined at the hotel restaurant next door, (which we did); food and service was excellent there. Rooftop hot buffet breakfast was top-notch and had a great view of the harbor. Room decor seemed a bit dated but the beds were comfortable and room was clean overall. Pool area was rather small and lots of families were using it— the hotel was the first that I’ve seen to have its own pool lifeguard. Lobby area was spacious, clean, and had a bar with table side service. I would stay here again given the chance.

Room had a very foul smell and very outdated. Advertised new updated rooms - received old ourdated, Television did not even work. Overpriced.

Overcrowded pool area was the biggest disappointment - there is nowhere near enough space to accommodate the number guests they have - it is crying out for an extension to the decking area around the pool and hence the number of sun beds could be increased from the handful they now have.
