This airport is located 32.5 km north of the capital Colombo, in a suburb of Negombo. Colombo Airport has three terminals: Terminal 1 is the current international terminal, Terminal 2 is the new international terminal; expected to be completed in 2019, and Terminal 3 is the domestic terminal.
To reach the city by public transport take the direct express way public busses. You will be at the central bus stand of Colombo (Pettah) within 25 minutes. From there you can reach any part of the country. A more convenient way is traveling by taxi. The rates depend on the destination and if you wish to turn on the air condition. For example, to reach Colombo (Pettah) you will pay 2,400 LKR (₪55), or 2,650 with the A/C on (₪60.60).
