Terminal Information - Departing

Flights from Tel Aviv to Seoul depart from Ben Gurion Airport Terminal 3. To allow enough time for security screening, it’s recommended to arrive at least three hours before your scheduled departure time. If you already have the new biometric passport, you can skip the lines at borders control and scan it at the automated machines.

Inside Terminal 3 you will find a food court with several restaurants and cafe, serving food of local and international cuisine. Free Wi-Fi is provided, and power sockets are spread around the airport and the gates so that you won’t be disconnected for a second. If you have a premium credit card, check the Dan Lounges and enjoy complimentary snacks and drinks.

Terminal Information - Arriving

Korean Air flights from Tel Aviv to Seoul arrive at Incheon International Airport (ICN). It has one terminal, but in October 2017 Terminal 2 is scheduled to open. Korean Air flights will move to the new terminal when it opens its gates.

You can reach the city from the airport by AREX - the Airport Express. There are two types of trains: Express travel journey is 45 minutes from Incheon airport to Seoul Station directly, and it costs KRW 8,000 (₪25). The all-stop travel journey is 55-60 minutes, and it stops at various transfer stations. The charge for this train is KRW 4,150 (₪13). You can also take the Korea Train Express (KTX) for KRW 12,500 (₪39), but you must book a ticket in advance.

There are also several bus routes from the airport to various destinations in the city. Alternatively, you can get a taxi from the rank at the airport. To reach the Seoul City Hall from the airport expect to pay KRW 46,000 (₪143). Travel time is about 1 hour.

Things you should know

Israeli citizens do not need to apply for a visa in advance before booking flights from Tel Aviv to Seoul. Immigration authorities in South Korea will grant Israeli travelers a visa up to 90 days. Your passport must be valid for at least six months from your arrival day in South Korea.
