Havana Airport

Flights to Havana from Israel arrive at José Martí International Airport (HAV), located 15 km southwest of Havana, the capital city of Cuba. The airport has three passenger terminals: Terminal 1 serves mostly domestic flights. Terminal 2 is used for charter flights to the United States. International flights are handled at Terminal 3, which offers modern facilities and jetways. There’s a bus service between the terminals.

The best way to reach the city center is by a taxi. There are plenty waiting outside the terminals. The journey takes 20-30 minutes. Two taxi companies operate from Terminal 3: Taxi OK and Panataxi, with the latter being cheaper. In any case, you should negotiate the price and don’t pay more than 15 CUP (less than ₪2.00) to downtown Havana. If you take the train, you must disembark at Old Havana’s Central Station. There are bus services too, but they may be bothersome for tourists.
