In winter have ski-in/ski-out access to the Tamarack Cross Country Ski Center and its 30 km of world-class groomed trails-beautiful scenery and an Olympic medalist who serves as instructor and guide. Relax and enjoy the beauty of the outdoors. In summer Tamarack offers rowboats/canoe rentals and some of the best fishing in the eastern sierra. Distance to Canyon Lodge is approx. 3 miles. Dogs are accepted in cabins only during the summer months -Mid April to Mid Nov-30 dollars / night / dog.

Please be sure to check for road closures during winter months. Highway 120 (Tioga Pass) typically closes from late October until July. When the Tioga Road is closed, it is not possible to drive to Tuolumne Meadows or enter Yosemite National Park from the east. All other park entrances, including those along Highway 120 from the west, Hetch Hetchy, Highway 140, and Highway 41, remain open all year.
