Rome is dirty, but the history is so incredibly rich that you don't even notice. This is a must-see for history buffs or students!

I was blessed with the opportunity to study abroad in Rome for 3 months and it was actually my first and only time in Europe. What an experience it was! The way people live life over here is so different and admirable. They just value REAL things like family, friends, the freshest food, and long dinners. It was a breathe of fresh air from how we live in the US where everything is hustle till you die and eat all your food in 5 minutes. The highlight of being out here was truly the food scene. Almost every day I ate marguerita pizza, bruschetta, red wine, and gelato...and I still lost weight. Probably because everyone walks here and takes their time with their food. Rome is so historical. My only thing issue with Rome is that it can be way too touristy at times but if you can find the local neighborhoods it will transform your experience. Also seeing the coliseum was epic and never got old. The cathedrals their are like palaces too!

All roads lead to Rome. You can't go around a corner without a historical artifact or church providing something interesting. America feels very young in comparison!
