Terminal Information - Departing

Flights from Tel Aviv to Tenerife depart from Ben Gurion Airport Terminal 3. However, if the first leg of the trip is operated by a low-cost airline, such as easyJet, Ryanair, and Wizz Air, it most likely to depart from Terminal 1.

To allow enough time for security screening, it’s recommended to arrive at least three hours before your flight. You can cut the lines at borders control if you have the new biometric passport, or If you have the hand-scanner magnetic card.

At the terminals, you will find a food court with several restaurants and cafe. There is an unlimited free Wi-Fi service and power sockets are spread around the airport and the gates. If you have a premium credit card, check the Dan Lounges and enjoy complimentary snacks and drinks.

Terminal Information - Arriving

Tenerife has two airports, and most flights from Tel Aviv to Tenerife arrive at Tenerife South (TFS). Bus 343 runs between the two airports (South and North), stopping at all of the main resorts along the way. The journey time from start to finish is 50 minutes, and a ticket costs €3.70 to Los Cristianos/Costa Adeje, €13.55 to Puerto de la Cruz, and €9.70 to travel to Tenerife-North Airport(TFN).

Bus 111 runs between the airport and the capital of the island Santa Cruz. A single ride costs €3.20 to Los Cristianos, €3.70 to Costa Adeje, and €9.35 to Santa Cruz. Route 450 serves the nearby beaches: €3.20 to Los Cristianos and Playa de las Américas, €3.70 to Costa Adeje, and €2.45 to Granadilla is.

Alternatively, you can ride to your destination by a taxi; the rank is outside the airport. The rates are lower between 6:00-22:00 on weekdays and Saturdays. Several car rental companies have desks at the airport.

Things you should know

Before booking flights from Tel Aviv to Tenerife, make sure your passport is valid for at least three months after your expected date of leaving Spain. Israeli citizens do not need TO apply for a tourist visa in advance. Spain is a part of the Schengen zone, so the border control officer might check if that you didn’t stay in the Schengen area more than a total of 90 days in half a year, which is the maximum time allowed. If you enter Spain with a European passport, this regulation does not apply to you.
