Why Fly With Turkish Airlines

How to Check-in:

Turkish Airlines offer an online check-in service, available from 24 hours and up to 90 minutes before take-off. You can check-in up to 8 passengers under the same reservation. This option enables you to print your boarding pass before travelling and speeds up the screening process at the airport. If you forgot your printed boarding pass, you would get a new one at the check-in counter. You can also check-in yourself through KIOSK machines located at the airports. In Ben Gurion Airport you would find it in Terminal 3. If you need personal assistance, you may do the check-in process at the counter at the airport starting 3 hours before the flight from Tel Aviv, 2 hours in Europe. You must arrive at the departure gate no later than 15 minutes before departure. Should you have a problem with your booking, you can go to Turkish Airlines offices, located on the 4th floor of Terminal 3 in Tel Aviv.

Baggage Allowances and Fees:

All passengers in Economy are entitled to one free hold baggage with Turkish Airlines up to 20kg for Economy Class and 30kg for Business Class. You can have one 55cm x 40cm x 23cm carry-on item up to 8kg Economy Class passengers, two items for Business Class. You would be happy to know that laptops, baby bags and coats are not included, and you can bring them into the cabin in addition to the carry-on allowance. You can also board with your Duty-Free bags for no extra cost. When you fly from Tel Aviv, you can take any amount of liquids and creams into the cabin. However, if you have a connecting flight you should pack them in the baggage you are sending into the hold since you will not be allowed to board the plane with items bigger than 100ml. Seating

When you fly Economy Class, you can choose your seat for free except for exit seats. With Turkish Airlines you will enjoy a quite generous legroom of 81cm. Flying Business? You are lucky to enjoy fully reclining flat beds. You can select your seat during the booking process, and you can change your selection until you check in. There are no additional charges unless you reserve an exit row seat, for $59-79, depending on the duration of the flight.

Booking Fees

In some cases, Turkish Airlines charge booking fees which vary depending on your final destination. You have nothing to worry about since it is shown as part of the cost when you search on Skyscanner. As always - Skyscanner doesn’t charge any additional fee from you. You can pay with Visa or MasterCard, and if your flight is more than three days from the booking date you may also pay with American Express card. There are no extra credit card fees.

Service on Board

Depending on the duration of your flight Turkish Airlines provide you with either a snack or a full meal for free. When you book your flight, you may order a special meal including a diabetic meal, a gluten free meal, different variations of vegetarian meals, a vegan meal and even a Kosher meal. Turkish Airlines takes the 3rd place in European Inflight Entertainment Awards thanks to its in-flight entertainment system, including VOD and video games. You will also get the Inflight Magazine and can choose from hundreds of Duty-Free products on board.
