Sadly, there are no direct flights from Israel to the largest and most visited Canary Island. Airports in Tenerife

Tenerife has two airports, and most flights from Tel Aviv arrive at Tenerife South (TFS). The second airport is called Tenerife North (TFN).

Tenerife South (TFS): Most cheap flights to Tenerife arrive here. Bus 343 runs between the two airports (South and North), stopping at all of the main resorts along the way. The journey time from start to finish is 50 minutes, and a ticket costs €3.70 to Los Cristianos/Costa Adeje, €13.55 to Puerto de la Cruz, and €9.70 to travel to Tenerife North Airport.

Bus 111 runs between the airport and the capital of the island Santa Cruz. A single ride costs €3.20 to Los Cristianos, €3.70 to Costa Adeje, and €9.35 to Santa Cruz. Route 450 serves the nearby beaches: €3.20 to Los Cristianos and Playa de las Américas, €3.70 to Costa Adeje, and €2.45 to Granadilla is. The taxi rank is outside the airport. When to visit Tenerife

They call it “the island of eternal spring,” and this is not a lie. Naturally, the summer is the high season with temperatures around 27-28 degrees during July and August. Between December and February, you get to enjoy 20 degrees, and this is your best chance to find cheap tickets to Tenerife. December is the rainiest month, with only six days of rain in average.

What to see and do in Tenerife

Beaches: Tourists from all over Europe have been drawn to these beaches for many years. You can choose between the black sand beaches of Playa Americas, or go to the yellow sand at Los Cristianos, imported from the nearby Sahara Desert.

Watersports: The sea of Tenerife is excellent for snorkeling and diving. El Medáno is heaven for kitesurfers and windsurfers, and it often hosts international competitions.

Santa Cruz de Tenerife: The capital city offers a different experience to the resorts. Walk between the old buildings, visit museums, or spend a sunny afternoon at the sculpture parks. If you are on the island in February, don’t miss the carnival, it’s second only to Rio de Janeiro. Other great festivals include the Heineken Jazz Festival in July and the Santa Blues festival in June.
