Eventhotel Pyramide

located on the southern outskirts of Vienna and surrounded by idyllic villages nestled in the foothills of the nearby scenic Vienna Woods, merely a stone´s throw away from “the” Austria´s signature shopping plaza, the “SCS” (short for Shopping City Sued), the discerning leisure or business guest enjoys the breathtaking ambiance of the famed Eventhotel Pyramide. Mr. Dujsik, the visionary founder, managed to marry the concepts of an unmatched shopping experience with the stay at a truly unique hotel. The mall, the largest one in all of Central Europe back then, opened its doors in 1976; subsequently, the plaza was expanded to include the Eventhotel Pyramide, spanning a grassland area of 45,000 m² with a huge variety of exotic plants and a water-themed recreational area inside the eponymous 42-meter high pyramid. Over the years, the hotel has evolved from a resort-only place to a multifaceted venue that lends itself to all sorts of spectacular events while still maintaining the distinguishing features for a resort-minded clientele.

Although most of the staff was really nice the was an odd few not so.
House keeping dosnt replace the coffees or toiletries. Never even cleaned the room 2 days running.
I had to complain one day when they had done the room as when I got back to the room late and was about to get in to a freshly changed bed the was fresh blood on the cover.

This is a massive hotel in a massive complex next to a massive shopping center. The whole ambience is souless. I expected that and chose this Hotel for its convenience to the highway and to my business in the Vienna centrum the next day. It was a five minute walk from the front desk through the bar and restaurant to the elevator, up the elevator and down a long two halls to get to my room. The front desk staff when I checked in was very young and seemed bored by their job. They made me feel as if I was asking stupid questions about the two parking lots, one free and a 10 minute walk and the other €20 a night but right outside, and the location of a nearby movie theater complex. Their bosses should tell them to at least fain enthusiasm and friendliness when greeting guests. The bar staff was friendly, but did not know what gin martini was. Luckily, another bartender there did, and it was excellent. The food was good enough (baked Seabass) but not excellent. Breakfast was in a huge conference style dining room and was the typical scrambled eggs, bacon, etc. fair. It was mediocre, and overpriced at €25. I had very specific logistical needs on my road trip, which led me to spend the night at this hotel. I would avoid it in the future, but I could live with it again if I had the same logistical issues .

Hotel with nice rooms, but not a wellness hotel.

The hotel offers nice, large, and comfortable rooms in the style of the 1980s; the bathroom is okay but in need of renovation. The breakfast is plentiful, and the staff is extremely nice and accommodating.
The parking lot for hotel guests is a long way from the entrance, and the hotel entrance at the parking lot has been closed for some time. The wellness area is mostly closed, the swimming pool is drained, the bar is not in operation, the outdoor sauna and steam bath are closed, and there are no towels - very sad. The entire complex was designed for non-existent large events and gives a mostly abandoned impression. The restaurant is at best mediocre and does not meet the standards of a 4-star establishment. The rooms lack bathrobes and slippers for the wellness area, which are also standard in 4-star hotels.
The hotel is apparently mainly used for bus tours, but the prices for individual guests are too high for that. What a pity.

Poor hygiene - no cleaning in the bathroom/toilet.

Nice lobby, nice hotel also from the outside, many mirrors and gold elements even in the room. Mine was unfortunately not clean - bathroom and toilet were only superficially wiped, but dirty underneath (a.a. hair, dirt, lime). It was neither vacuumed nor mopped in the sanitary areas, let alone properly cleaned - which is what you expect especially there. I was very disappointed, could not shower me even after a long day of seminars, because I was terrified. The walk from the room to the lobby was eternally long. Service was very friendly and accommodating. Would never book there again.
