Had a great stay at Calma - I would definitely book here again. Close to everything and very walkable neighborhood. Room was very comfortable.

Morning wake-up call
Strengths:
Hotel very well located in the center of Berlin.
The city's points of interest are easily accessible on foot or by public transport.
Great choice of restaurants near the hotel
Clean and functional room
Hearty and varied breakfast
Weaknesses:
Our room was located on the 1st floor, courtyard side, near the reception, and from 6:00 AM, we could hear the hotel staff calling out loudly to each other.
Furthermore, it would be wise to remind customers to respect others' sleep and not to start conversations in the courtyard chairs in the middle of the night.
If you wish to sleep past 6:00 AM, do not choose this hotel, especially during the summer.

I am sorry about the early noise you experienced. I understand how disruptive that feels when you want to sleep in. Our house has historic character that can carry sound more than we wish, especially close to the courtyard. We aim for a considerate atmosphere at all hours, and your note is a helpful reminder of what guests should expect and respect. Our reception is closed at night, but we have 24hours WhatsApp service and phone lines, if you need anything while your stay, especially at night.
For a future visit, we can arrange a room in a higher floor.

Great stay
This was my second stay here and I could easily stay again. The room, size M, was clean and quiet. The breakfast is great and you can hace coffee all. The location is the greatest!!!

The location is excellent, in a lively area full of great restaurants, easy walk to most city landmarks, as well as the main train station. Our room was very large (3 beds). There is also a charming courtyard.
Just a couple of minor issues: almost no ventilation, the room got very hot. And, there was no coffee; coffee is listed as available at the hotel--but apparently not until 1 pm. So if you need your cup of morning Joe or an evening tea, bring your own kettle. Otherwise, a very nice place.

A great central hotel for sightseeing
Great location, easy to travel from Brandenburg airport, S9 train travels to Friedrichstrasse station, then a 10 minute walk to the hotel. We purchased a 4 day Welcome Berlin Card ABC. Great for those with children age 6-14 years, as the children can travel on the adults card. It saved us worrying about individual tickets for travel every day.
Great transport links from close to Calma Berlin Mitte hotel to all over Berlin. We travelled to Sachsenheusen Concentration Camp, The Stasi Prison, Urban Nation Art Museum & lots of central points of interest via tram, underground, bus and train. All transport within an easy walk of the hotel to hop on.
A really lovely breakfast at the hotel, a great variety (if purchased). Coffee available at the hotel between 1pm & 9pm, which was most welcome.
A good sized room for a family of four, however the only negative was having a room near the road, you could hear the rubbish being collected/glasses being emptied every morning around 6/7am, otherwise generally quiet. Friendly staff. Luggage kept for us on arrival before our room was ready and on check out day.
We enjoyed the Rosa Italian Restaurant close by, easy to walk to. Very reasonably priced, lovely pizza, pasta, lasagne, we went twice! Family run restaurant of over twenty years, quick service, very handy when you have tired feet after a long day sightseeing.
We also visited Schnitzelei Mitte, a great restaurant serving German food. A good variety of vegetarian dishes and tapas available, also walkable from the hotel, would definitely recommend.
