Hotel Starke

This family-run hotel and cafe is housed in a beautiful half-timbered building on Brilon’s historic market square, at the start of the Rothaarsteig hiking trail. WiFi is free in all areas of Hotel Café Starke. Built in 1907, Hotel Starke Brilon provides rooms with a TV and a private bathroom with shower. Some rooms also offer a balcony. All rooms are unique. A rich breakfast buffet is served at the hotel or on the outside terrace. Guests can enjoy house specialties such as herbal liqueurs as well as home-baked cakes and tarts. The surrounding Sauerland countryside is ideal for hiking and cycling, and Brilon Golf Club is 1.6 mi away. Guests are also welcome to relax in the bar or in the traditional wine cellar of the Hanseatic town of Brilon, where wine and whiskey tastings are held, also with an accompanying menu on request. A private car park is available at Hotel Starke, and free public parking spaces can be found nearby. It takes 40 minutes to drive to Paderborn, and Dortmund is only a 1-hour drive away.

Super service, beautiful accommodation, great location - again anytime!

Upon my arrival, I was greeted very warmly, and my special requests were addressed immediately. The room is furnished in a modern and cozy style. The bathroom is perfectly set up for the old room layout (old house) with a large shower tray.
All staff members were approachable regarding my requests at all times, and service was very friendly both in the evening (during a special event in the city) and at breakfast.
On the day of departure, I was allowed to work in a quiet room until my onward journey.
I will soon travel to Brilon again – to Hotel Starke.

Completely satisfied!

A car breakdown on a frosty Sunday night in November led me rather unplanned to Brilon - but luckily I found a wonderful hostel for the night with the Hotel Starke.
The house is located directly on the market in the picturesque city center with its many half-timbered houses and historic buildings. My room was sympathetically straightforward but equipped with great heating, TV and very good shower (very important for me) - and like the whole house tiptop clean and well maintained.
The breakfast buffet offers everything your heart or stomach desires, from scrambled eggs and bacon to fruits and savoury snacks to a wide selection of breads and corresponding toppings.
The whole thing is rounded off by hosts who live and radiate warm hospitality.

Great hotel with great breakfast

We felt very comfortable at Hotel Starke in Brilon. We particularly liked the central location right in the city, the cleanliness throughout the house, the friendly and courteous staff and the delicious breakfast with good selection. Only small point: The rooms are a bit noisy, but this hardly diminishes the positive overall impression. Overall a clear recommendation!

Everything is great here

I had a large single room with lots of light, space and a super comfortable bed. The hotel is very centrally located and the reception was very friendly and everything was uncomplicated. There was a large selection at the breakfast buffet. A milk alternative would have been great. I would definitely come back.

Perfekt hotel!

I have been here already twice and can confirm is a very nice solution for a stay in Briton.
Rooms are very comfortable, warm and clean.
Restaurant as the breakfast buffet are very good.
Staff really kind.
Last time I stayed in a room with big balcony on the main square, very very nice.
