Not everything it says on the tin…

I wish I could give this place and our experience 3.5/5 but here goes our honest review of Villa Chrisanthi: we booked a ‘deluxe double’ on booking.com months ago and tried a couple of times to email the owners asking for a little bit more information as there seems to be a bit of conflicting info on the website, no luck so we gave up. A week before we flew from Manchester we tried again and were pleased to receive a detailed email informing us which way to approach the Villa and what to do on arrival. The approach road as you turn left at Hotel Torini is very narrow and even though we hired a small Mazda 2 we were terrified of damaging the car because of casually parked scooters and cars , we found the car park which I need to tell you is a rough patch of ground up a steep concrete hill and at the base of this hill there’s a ditch which you have to be an expert driver to get over both ways without damaging the car. We were told to call a number on arrival and someone would meet us, and unlock the padlock which held the chain across the bottom of the car park. Nobody answered despite our prior request of arriving at 2pm. My GF had to walk to the apartment building ( which BTW is NOT where the double rooms are situated) and try to find someone, after ten minutes of me sat in the car on a tiny road a maid arrived with my GF with a room key pointing down the lane past the villa building, eventually she understood we wanted to park the car and opened the lock, giving us the key plus another which we presumed was for our room. Once I parked the car and gathered my senses my GF told me we were not staying at the villa but in another 2 storey building a few yards further on down the lane on the left. We were told in broken English ‘booking room number one’ . We found the building and number one is the first door as you enter on the ground floor. First impressions though were good, a well decorated bathroom on the right followed by a pretty mediocre but clean bedroom area followed by a nice balcony with a table and two wooden chairs, the balcony is actually on the next floor up overlooking a quiet street and despite having apartments across the street they were completely empty except for the ground floor where an old Greek couple lived. There is a very small double cupboard on your left to store clothes , other than that it’s not good enough for storage as there’s not even anywhere to put a suitcase and we only had one between us. The kitchen was tiny with no chopping board , nowhere to prep food and only one knife which we would spend two days asking for another to be eventually given a kitchen knife!. Nobody showed us around, nobody came to visit us and we never ever saw the owner despite me going up the lane and through the gates to try and find anyone. After 2 days we settled in as we know Parga extremely well, there are beautiful cars and kittens which one decided to adopt us and sit on our balcony. The EPAVLIS is a 2 minute walk and they have a lovely pool where if you spend € 5 you can use it and a subbed, Vangelis is brilliant and his family live in the house on the right from the balcony. Supermarkets are 1 minute walk and so are countless bars and shops and tavernas. I’ve done reviews on many of these and more to follow. We only left the car park once to drive to Sivota. We enjoyed the apartment and the cleaners were lovely but the website should be more honest about where you are staying because only families stay in the main building and there are only 4 rooms so be warned. Lack of storage, lack of kitchen facilities and lack of a real greeting put us off staying again, the only deluxe thing is the shower which was fantastic. Towels and bedding changed regularly but for the reasons stated we wouldn’t return. All the best to everyone who stays, say hello to Vangelis from Chris and Belinda x

Old, I run

Unfortunate!! Very old, dirty, the rooms have no closets, no wifi. Difference bitches inside the house. The no bath no comment!!! On booking had no photos of this particular apartment!!! Why not!! Shame. While beautiful Parga ruined our mood the place where we live

Vacation…

Doesn’t worth the money they ask for…way too expensive for what you really get…well,I must say that the keephouse woman is very kind and you can have a nice conversation with her…also the place is not too far from the centre.

Perfect!!

We booked a room on booking .com and so glad we did. The room exceeded our expectations. Very modern room with kitchenette and lovely shower room. We were met by a lovely lady and she showed us where to park our car. Five minutes walk to Parga town. Near the beach, near everything. Will definitely be booking to stay again.

Fantastic Villa!

Beautiful villa. Very friendly owner Dimitri’s who welcomed us even though it was very late when we arrived.
The villa is well located for visiting all parts of the island and very close to the lovely seafront town of Sami
We would definitely stay at Villa Chrisanthi again. Wish we could award 10 stars!!
