A Charming Beachside Getaway

We enjoyed our charming beachside getaway over 4 nights and 5 perfectly warm and peaceful days. Tulum was our 4th trip to Mexico and is great place to vacation, especially if you have already been to the resorts and want to explore outside of your hotel. We stayed in the Casa Violetta room, which was quant, comfortable and located at the beachside of the property with a view of the ocean from our bed. If you have a choice, the beachside cottages are definitely worth the price and offer more light and a scenic beachy experience. Rooms and facilaties are clean throughout (small smell coming from the back of the kitchen, but no big deal). The resort is small and compared to the surrounding hotels it's pretty low key and quiet. Perfect for a couples retreat, not so much if you're looking for a typical mexican resort style vacation. The staff was friendly, the breakfast plate was good (but gets boring after a staying a few nights), and we opted to eat tacos from Mama's Seasoning across the street (excellent!) and grab smoothies and an Acai bowl from the Juice place nearby. Plenty of options to eat and drink all down Sunset road. Definitely worth booking if you are looking for a lowkey, choose your own adventure, peaceful vacation. Stay in one of the beachside rooms, eat the tacos, unplug and remember to put on bug spray and sunscreen -- you'll thank me later.

Casa Violeta

My family really enjoyed our stay at Casa Violeta. The proximity to the beach was priceless. I felt like I was in Mombasa for a discount. Our cottage was kept absolutely clean 100%! We’re definitely going back to Casa Violeta

A magical coastal retreat

Casa Violetta offers casual luxury in a magical setting right on the Caribbean coast. The whole compound sits on sand. Nothing is paved or slick. The casitas are beautifully appointed and clean. While all have vaulted, wooden ceilings and large mosquito-netted beds, each has its individual character. The food is local, fresh, abundant and delicious. Staff are friendly and very helpful. The vibe is laid back, beachy and relaxed. There is a lovely, airy yoga studio on the premises. A large choice of shops and restaurants is within an easy stroll down the single road that runs through town. Visits to Mayan ruins, cenotes, massages and cooking classes can be easily arranged.

“La dolce vita”

Wonderful holiday and the property is a gem. Great staff, management team and attention to detail especially when it comes to materials used on property. Loved how natural everything is, with a relaxed ambiance and very comfortable. Very clean and rooms were great size. Food was great. Great place to unwind and disconnect from the real world. We will be back soon.

Unique experience

Wonderful welcoming staff. I felt so looked after in this piece of paradise. The hotel was clean, my room (which was like a beach hut) right on the beachfront was very spacious with a beautiful 4 poster bed, hammock & day bed and yet was cozy. The ocean is very loud though so can impact sleep! My thatched roof leaked a bit in the rain but it didn't bother me. If there was any issues the hotel always checked it out & fixed it.
The hotel was quiet. It felt safe and relaxing at the same time. The highlight was the food. I was with a group of 6 & we ate a lot of our meals there. Everything was fresh, healthy & abundant. We were eating the rainbow at every meal with lots of fruits, vegetables, homemade bread, pizza or tortillas, the seafood was incredible. The staff were lovely and so accommodating to our every request.
