Sublime!

The place is absolutely sublime; I have rarely seen a place so rich in detail. And yet, despite all the decorative pieces, you feel a real harmony.
The riad is located in the heart of the medina but be quite vigilant: it is not that simple to find because even Google Maps struggles to locate you in the small alleyways.
We were very well welcomed by Rachid and the lady whose name I did not ask for () and we were upgraded.
The room is just as carefully decorated and above all very clean. This did not personally bother us, but there is no separation between the bathroom and the bedroom (apart from a blackout curtain).
The breakfast was very good.
Cats frequent the premises; this did not bother us and we even enjoyed their presence (despite my allergies), but I think it should be mentioned because I am not sure everyone would like it.

A perfect stay in Tangier

On arrival in Morocco, our first nights were in Tanger. We stayed with Rashid and his family in Riad Ider. The Riad is centrally located in the Medina. Our room was absolutely beautiful, with a super comfortable bed and lovely decor. Rashid and his family’s hospitality was wonderful, and he was so welcoming for the three nights we stayed there. He gave us advice for a good Moroccan restaurant nearby. The breakfasts were delicious and generous, with freshly squeezed orange juice, eggs, lots of breads, cakes, buns, jams, honey, coffee - a perfect start to the day. We even got to meet his birds.
I highly recommend Riad Ider if you are staying in Tanger/Tangier.
