Not worth the money they charge. The place stank because the AC was turned off and the carpets across corridors and the building were not aired. The hotel needs a major upgrade

*Title: Disappointing Stay at Marigold Hotel*
I recently stayed in the VIP family room at the Marigold Hotel, expecting a comfortable and luxurious experience. Unfortunately, my expectations were far from met. Upon arrival, I discovered the room lacked air conditioning, which was a major discomfort. To compound the issue, both showers in the bathroom were malfunctioning. The hotel provided a fan as a temporary solution but eventually moved us to a standard bedroom without any form of apology or compensation.
The downgrade also included a lack of internet access, which was not communicated beforehand, leaving us disconnected and frustrated. The dining options were another letdown; there was an evident lack of variety in the Western menu, with predominantly Chinese cuisine available, the breakfast is just to simple to be true. Additionally, there was no complimentary soft drinks service, which is typically standard in VIP accommodations.
Overall, my experience at the Marigold Hotel was highly unsatisfactory. The lack of basic amenities, poor customer service, and inadequate dining options made for an unpleasant stay. I would not recommend this hotel to travelers seeking a comfortable and accommodating visit.

Unworthy of its stars

Several of us in our group had inherited a room in direct sunlight that the air conditioning, from another era, was unable to cool. It was only after several reminders and a temperature that was close to 40° that we finally won our case. On the other hand, far from apologizing, the reception downgraded us to an unrenovated room with stained carpet and an old bathtub instead of the walk-in shower. No compensation or even an apology!! The hotel seems to specialize in receiving groups and the quality of service goes hand in hand, unfortunately.
