Good breakfast. Clean and accessible to mayor place of Cuzco.

We reserved 3 rooms which needed deep cleaning, there was mold on the walls of the shower room and along shower corners: sheets were clean with old stains, dusty im areas, carpet was old in the room, heaters had to be rented and did not warm up the room.

Black Mold Family Room

Black Mold in family room. Our family (2Adults 2 Kids) had booked for 2 nights at Hotel MonteCristo in Cusco, due to a delayed flight on LATAM from Lima, we didn't arrive until 7AM on the second day after a full night spent in Lima airport. We were completely exhausted and just crashed. We had noticed the mold, but my family desperately needed to sleep. Unfortunately, my elder daughter and myself were not able to sleep as we were closer to the black mould which was both inside and mostly outside the bathroom. breathing in the spores caused us stress and anxiety. Following a shower, the smell of mold and damp got much worse. It was much more pronounced when we left and returned to the room after a bit to eat. We did not spend a single night at the Hotel. On our return, when we realised the air was heavy with mold and damp, spending a night hear would be a risk to our respiratory health, we immediately checked into a nearby hotel (Auka last minute booked on booking.com too clean, amazing service, well maintained no mold). Here we bumped into a fellow guest from Chile who was booked into MonteCristo too and also found mold in his room and refused to stay the night. We requested a refund for 1 night but none was given

Rooms were great and staff were super friendly and helpful. The hotel was not too far from the plaza and was in a quiet area. Breakfast was excellent and coca tea was available every day.

Photos or show what it is, It's not a 3 star hotel.

The photos do not match what it really is, it is not at all a 3 star. I'd give you maximum 2. The very friendly staff, however did not clean the bathroom well one day just made the bed and I had to go downstairs to claim to clean the bathroom too. In the bathroom there was no railing to hang towels, there was nowhere to put the toilet paper (I had to put it next to the pipe) because I did not have the tube.
I went to a double room however the bed was only 2 places, A SINGLE NIGHT TABLE!!!
While there are hot drinks to be served at reception, they did not replenish the cups was always dirty, they only replenished it in the morning and the rest of the day all dirty and messy.
Check out is at 9am and if you want to stay until 11-12 (normal checkout times) you have to pay as a late check out.
They don't have a water can at the reception or drinks sales, if you don't bring your water bottle, you went.
One day I touched a staff at the reception at dawn who did not know anything, he told me that they called him to work alone that day apparently to cover someone else, that day I arrived at night and they took a long time to open the door, I had to phone to be opened because they did not answer the doorbell (I rang like 5 times), if I had been without battery, I just spent the night in the street.
The only 2 employees I saw in my entire stay were friendly but obviously there is no administrator. I wouldn't come back and I don't recommend it at all. A mess. It's not worth anything.
