A nice house and a great owner, a stay more than memorable.

This a great hotel, 2 steps from the cable car and 3 from the Place d'Armaments. It is accompanied by a cute little garden, a kitchen and a super owner who listens, and who always has good plans, whether historical or gastronomic.
This is an accommodation not to be missed if you go through (Nuevo) Tingo, and especially if you are French, because he speaks it very well.
Great memories that I won't forget thanks to him, and that you'll also create yourself by sleeping there.

A very cozy place

We stayed for two days, travelled by motorbike and it was a very welcoming place. Juan José very friendly helped us with directions to enjoy the place. It is very close to the cable cars to go to the monument Kuelap which we recommend to visit to know the history of this territory.

Exceptional host in excellent lodging

Juan Jose is the heart of Muyakuelap. He knows everyone & everyone knows JJ. With these connections & his knowledge of the area, JJ was invaluable for arranging transportation, suggesting destinations, directions to best local businesses & artisans. The lodging is scrupulously clean. Great views from both sides (one side views Kuelap; the other, the Uctubamba River valley). There are piles of guidebooks. There is a shared, fully equipped kitchen adjoining a walled garden and seating area. Rooms come with bed linens, towels, reading lights & are attractive. The lodging is minutes walk from the Kuelap access as well as the beautiful stairs used to access Tingo Baja (Tingo Viejo). The best news is that JJ is building a hotel entirely of his own. It will feature gardens & green spaces & be moments walk from the Kuelap access. His site has lovely views in all directions over the river valley & into the mountains. Hopefully it will be open next year. With JJ as owner & host, it promises to be exceptional!

Ideal stay to visit kuelap

Comfortable and cozy. Clean bathrooms. Good internet, hot water 24hrs, close to the cable car to kuelap. The valley climate makes the stay pleasant. A well equipped kitchen. With a phenomenal view of the mountains. I'd choose it again on my next trip.

Very nice experience!

Muya is undoubtedly a very well thought out accommodation. From the warmth of the building, to the detail with which each corner of the space has been covered. It is a lodging for travelers eager to venture into the vastness of one of the most impressive provinces of Peru and make the most of the experience. The vision of space is clear and that is difficult to find in businesses of any kind; applause for that.
Here the protagonist is undoubtedly Juan José, who has been able to orchestrate everything beautifully; he always seems to have a solution to the problems that arise, he is steeped in knowledge about the surroundings of Tingo (in general of the province of Chachapoyas), and he is an extremely helpful and attentive person.
Nice experience, I recommend it with my eyes closed!
