Tap up this Bath Beauty.

A lovely 2 night stay in a spacious, comfortable and beautiful room. The staff were friendly and very accommodating. The breakfast we had was also delicious and plentiful and fuelled us for the day of exploring Bath ahead. The hotel was well positioned for a short 10 minute wander down the hill into town. They even laid out a lovely welcome after I explained this was us celebrating our 20th Wedding Anniversary (see picture).

Disgusting

Following my one night stay resulting in a bad accident due to lack of health and safety I am appalled that senior staff/owners have not contacted me. My praise goes to Amy who administered first aid and showed concern for me the following morning and re-dressed my wounds the old lady as she constantly referred to herself,Casey merely said I should look where I was going !! then confirmed that staff and visitors had been complaining about dangerous potholes in parking area for years …I am still in severe pain unable to drive and totally gutted I had to go straight home and miss my team Portsmouth play Bristol broken sunglasses ruined expensive cooper Holland jeans cut bruised and battered and as to date. Nothing from the guest house ? Obviously I will take legal advice

Lovely place to stay , bathroom was a little tired and needed some updating but the room overall was very nice and staff very helpful
Maybe need something to help cars get out of the car park to see on coming traffic as entrance is a very tight and kind of a blind spot
Great location for city centre and would stay here again

Great visit to Bath

We have visited Bath several times, but not stayed at Oldfield House before. Our visit coincided with the eclipse although sadly we didn’t see it. Two nights stay close to city centre. We stayed in one of the lower floor rooms. It was lovely and overlooked the garden, which we enjoyed on both nights. The large lounge is used as a bar, with large comfy sofas. If the weather had been inclement we would have gladly spent our time there. Breakfasts were delicious with so much choice. The staff were friendly and helpful. We will return, because we felt looked after and the prices were great value for the accommodation provided. It’s a great location. We walked into town, in about ten minutes. The buses are frequent, and the bus station close.

Thank you so much for your wonderful review and for choosing Oldfield House for your visit to Bath.
We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed your stay, particularly your garden-facing room and the opportunity to relax in the garden during the evenings. It’s lovely to know that you also enjoyed our lounge and bar area — the comfy sofas are certainly a favourite place to unwind!
We’re especially pleased that you enjoyed our breakfasts and found the choice to your liking. Your kind comments about our friendly and helpful team mean a great deal to us, as we always want our guests to feel genuinely looked after.
It sounds like you made the most of the excellent location, with the city centre within easy walking distance and convenient bus connections nearby. We’re only sorry that the eclipse didn’t make an appearance for you!
Thank you again for your kind words and for saying you will return. We’ll look forward to welcoming you back to Oldfield House and making your next visit to Bath just as enjoyable.

Lovely little place with character

We stayed here as a last minute trip as a couple. We were greeted by a staff member upon our arrival who was very friendly and informative. The reception area was cosy and there was a bar and a room to eat if you chose to, although we did not.
Our room was really nice and full of character. The bed was large and comfortable. The room and bathroom was spacious. The location is good, it is a 10-15 minute walk into Bath city centre but the walk back to the hotel is rather up-hill so if that's not for you, you may want to get a taxi.

We’re delighted to hear that you received such a warm welcome on arrival and that you enjoyed the cosy atmosphere of our reception area. It’s also wonderful to know that you liked your room, particularly its character, spaciousness and comfortable bed.
Our location does offer the best of both worlds — close enough to walk into the city centre while being tucked away from the hustle and bustle. As you rightly mention, the walk back does involve a little uphill climb, so a taxi is certainly a good option if you prefer an easier journey!
We really appreciate your kind comments and hope to welcome you both back to The Ayrlington on your next visit to Bath.
