Terminal Information - Departing
EL AL and Swiss flights from Tel Aviv to Geneva depart from Ben Gurion Airport Terminal 3. The train station is located near the terminal at level -1. easyJet flights depart from Terminal 1. If you arrive by train, take the free shuttle service from outside Terminal 3.
Both terminals offer free Wi-Fi for the whole duration of your stay. Terminal 3 is the bigger terminal with a wide variety of Duty-Free stores, where you can buy local and international brands of beers, wines, and liquors, a selection of fashion items, shoes, gifts and more. There are also several cafes and restaurants at the food court, the main hall and near some of the gates. Terminal 1 serves the low-cost airlines and it is smaller than Terminal 3, but you can still find many Duty-Free items.
You will find three lounges in Terminal 3: Elite members of EL AL can relax at the King David Lounge. If you want to visit in the Dan Lounges, check your credit card conditions. You may be entitled to a discount; some credit cards even allow you to enter for no extra charge.
Terminal Information - Arriving
All flights from Tel Aviv to Geneva arrive at Geneva Airport (GVA), which is located 4 km northwest of the city center. Since the airport is really close to the city, it’s easily reachable, and it takes only 6 minutes to get into the city from the airport by train. The airport railway station has direct access to Arrivals Hall.
You can travel by bus to different destination. Check the routes of the following lines: 5, 5+, 10, 23, 28, 57, V+, Y, and see if it rides to your destination. You can pick up a free ticket for public transport from the machine in the baggage claim area at the Arrival level. This card allows you to use public transport in Geneva free for 80 minutes.
When you stay at a hotel, a youth hostel or a campsite in the canton, a "Geneva Transport Card" will be given to you free of charge. With this card, public transport in Geneva is free for the full duration of your stay. Some Swiss hotels operate free shuttles every 15-20 minutes, or on demand. Alternatively, you can order a taxi. Expect to pay CHF 35-45 (₪127-164).
Things you should know
Before booking flights from Tel Aviv to Geneva, make sure that your passport is valid for at least three months after you plan to depart Switzerland.
