Terminal Information - Arriving

London Heathrow (LHR) is the primary airport serving the British capital and the second busiest airport in the world by total passengers traffic. Heathrow is located 23 km west of central London, and it has four active terminals (2-5).

Flights from Tel Aviv to London Heathrow arrive at Terminal 4 if it’s EL AL or Terminal 5 if you fly with British Airways. From either terminal, the fastest way to travel to the city center is the Heathrow Express train. The journey time is about 20 minutes. The cost-effective way is the underground. The Piccadilly line will take you to the city in 50-60 minutes. You can also take the National Express buses with a journey time of 40-80 minutes.

Alternatively, you can reach the city center by London Taxi, the journey time is 30-60 minutes, and the fare is £48 - £90 (₪223-₪420).

Things you should know

For all flights from Tel Aviv to London Heathrow, you need a valid passport for at least six months after your arrival date. If you have an EU passport, go directly to the EU citizens line. If you have an Israeli passport, you need to fill a form before you wait in the line. You need to know the exact address where you will be staying at and write it in the form. Then you can proceed to the non-EU passengers' line. Train tickets are almost double than what you pay in Israel, but you cannot compare the level of service. If you need a taxi, you will pay 387%(!!!) more than in Tel Aviv, but the prices of beers will make you happy - around 30% cheaper.
