Terminal Information - Departing
Tel Aviv Ben Gurion Airport TLV has two terminals: Terminal 3 and Terminal 1. EL AL flights depart from Terminal 3. The train station is located outside the terminal on level -1. After completing the check-in and security procedures, you can enter the Duty-Free area where you can find a large variety of stores, with everything from electronics to clothing and shoes, bags and watches, candy and even hummus. Special offers are always available on electronics and gadgets as part of the $200 tax-free sales. Several restaurants and cafes offer local and international menus where you can satisfy your cravings, or relax at the Dan Lounge. Elite members of EL AL Matmid Club can visit King David Lounge.
EasyJet and Ryanair offer cheap flights from Tel Aviv to Milan, and they depart from Terminal 1. If you arrive by train, take the free shuttle from Terminal 3, it departs every 15-20 minutes, and the ride is approximately 15 minutes. The terminal has a smaller Duty-Free, but you can still find there everything. There are also fewer food options, but you can still enjoy a sandwich or a hot dog. Both terminals have free Wifi service for the whole duration of your stay, and you can stay connected before you depart from Tel Aviv to Milan.
Terminal Information - Arriving
Milan Malpensa MXP: This is the largest airport in the Milan metropolitan area and the second largest in Italy. It’s located 49 km northwest of Milan city center and has two terminals - 1 and 2. Terminal 2 serves easyJet flights exclusively. If you fly with any other carriers - you will arrive in Terminal 1. Getting to the city center is pretty easy with Malpensa Express train - TRENORD. The rate is €13 for one way, and you can buy a discounted return-trip for €20 online. There are several trains and buses which cost €8 for a 50-minute ride, or €14 for a round-trip ticket. The rate for a taxi ride is €95.
Milan Bergamo BGY: Officially called Orio al Serio International Airport or Il Caravaggio International Airport, this is the third busiest international airport in Italy. The airport is located 3.7 km southeast of Bergamo and 45 km northeast of Milan. Direct cheap flights from Tel Aviv to Milan operated by Ryanair arrive here. ATB bus service will bring you to Bergamo train station in just 10 minutes. Direct services to Milan Central Station are offered by Orio Shuttle (€4) and Autostradale (€5). Milan Linate LIN: The secondary airport of Milan is located approximately 10 km from the city center, but there are no direct flights from Tel Aviv to Milan Linate. You will arrive here only if you fly via a stopover.
