Terminal Information - Departing

Flights from Tel Aviv to Taipei depart from Ben Gurion Airport Terminal 3. The train station is located just outside Terminal 3. It’s recommended to arrive at least three hours before your flight to allow enough time for security procedures.

Terminal Information - Arriving

Taoyuan International Airport (TPE): Most flights from Tel Aviv to Taipei arrive at Taoyuan Airport (TPE), the busiest airport of Taiwan, located 40 km west of Taipei. Check with your airline if it lands at T1 or T2.

The transportation network is considered to be very efficient. You can take the high-speed rail which allows direct access to all major cities, or the buses which travel between various regions. The staff at the info desk will be happy to assist you. You can also take a taxi, a tour bus, or rent a car.

Taipei Songshan Airport (TSA): The airport is connected to the city center via the metro rail and also via several bus routes. The taxi rank is located outside the terminal, and the price is determined by the distance and time, as all the taxis are metered.

Things you should know

Israelis are exempted from applying for a visa to Taiwan in advance. You will receive a 90-day visa to Taiwan upon arrival. When you book flights from Tel Aviv to Taipei, make sure that your passport is valid for at least six months.

The winters in Taipei are similar to Tel Aviv, with 18-20 degrees during the day, and 14-19 during the evenings. The summers are warm - above 30 degrees, with a lot of rain.
