Perfect family holiday in sustainable paradise - Destinature!

We spent some wonderful days and nights with our little son during our bike trip at the Destinature holiday village and loved our stay. We were lucky enough to stay in a “Cabin Plus”, which convinced us with its cosiness and thoughtful furnishings.
Destinature is the ideal place for families with children. The saunas and bath barrels we used several times were a highlight and contributed significantly to our relaxation. We were particularly impressed by the sustainable concept of the holiday village. Here it becomes clear that a holiday in nature can be not only environmentally friendly, but also comfortable and stylish.
The surroundings of the holiday village are ideal for cycling and day trips. The Wendland offers picturesque landscapes and many interesting destinations that are easy to reach. Destinature is a perfect base from which to explore this region.
All in all, our stay at the Destinature holiday village was an unforgettable experience. The combination of nature, comfort and sustainability makes this place a real insider tip for families and Nature Guides. We are already looking forward to our next visit!

Nature and product placement

A mix of eco-chic tiny house hotel, and Werkstatt furniture display room. Lots of product placement! Anything and everything could be purchased- from your bed to the toilet paper holder in the toilets.
We really enjoyed the DIY wood heated sauna and the DIY wood stove heated hot tub. The summer hut was really thoughtfully constructed and comfortable. The bathrooms and showers were clean. There are only two showers for all guests! We had breakfast and when we arrived at 9:15 the buffet was missing many essential items (eggs, croissants, butter, vegetables plates…). We had to ask for these things to be refilled, and even then, it was very slow going and reluctantly done. Even the coffee ran out! The food was good quality and tasty, once we got some.
The location is a bit odd- a garden plot very close to two discount supermarkets. Hitzacker is a nice little town, and the nature in the surroundings areas is wonderful for walks or bike rides or canoe tours.

Fun

I came here with my son, and it was an amazing experience. Would recommend the smaller cabin because of cosiness. They had a hot tub and sona, which was all dog friendly, plus the games they provided were amazing and really fun. I would not recommend bringing bikes because the trails are only for hiking

Just perfect!

We stayed for 2 nights in a cabin for 2-3 people and would have loved to stay longer. Being so close to nature was perfect to re-energize and calming down.
Everybody working here was just super nice and down-to-earth.
The little Bistro offers a great Breakfast, different beverages and also a little choice of hot meals/snacks.
The lavatories were extremly clean and you had dispenser for desinfection all over the place.
We'll definitely go back!

Geheimtipp für Vegetarier- und Veganer*innen

Wir waren hier nur essen, aber es ist das einzige Restaurant in der Umgebung, das vegane und vegetarische Speisen anbietet. Diese sind lecker und günstig, und die Rezeptionistin war sehr freundlich. Man sitzt gemütlich in schöner Umgebung. Von uns eine klare Empfehlung!
