The location was great, right next to an entrance to the medina. The room was comfortable with basic accomodations. Our breakfast was delicious and traditional. The view upstairs on the deck was beautiful but having breakfast there was a bit cold this time of the year. It was quiet during the night so we got a good night's sleep.

Beautiful Stay with Some Setbacks

So, let me start by saying that Dar Rafik in Chefchaouen is a beautiful guesthouse. We had a pretty good experience overall, but there were a few hiccups along the way.
First things first, the breakfast at the rooftop was fantastic! The bread was tasty, and we enjoyed it while taking in the nice view. It was a great way to start our day.
The staff at Dar Rafik were helpful and accommodating. They assisted us in calling a taxi and allowed us to leave our luggage for a few hours on the day we checked out. It was convenient and made our travel plans much easier.

Rubbish

Very disappointing- we requested a twin room - they couldn’t give us one they said there had been a mistake - we requested a bath ( it was advertised as having baths - they didn’t have any - we ended up not staying as we didn’t want to share a bed and they said they wouldn’t charge us but they did charge us in full so I feel like we were ripped off - staff were completely unhelpful

Very good

In this riad the only thing that needed a little more attention was very good, for example: The television controls were missing batteries, and rolls of paper were missing. But the hosts of the riad have been nice to us
