Absolutely worth it
One of the best places I’ve slept so far; the owners (Sr Luis and his wife Sra Maria Angeles) are amazing and helpful hosts. The hotel is very close to the Camino Variante Espiritual and restaurants, has a bar and breakfast (fee) in the morning. Rooms have everything you need for a break from hostels or albergues, super clean, I would recommend and stay again.

Kindly host and comfortable room
Visited along our Camino for which it is well placed. Lovely view of the beach from our room. Host has limited English but with a little effort on our part was most helpful - provided excellent dinner recommendation and guide to locality. Bed very comfortable and everything clean and tidy. Outside laundry facility provided but not much help when pouring rain as it was for us! Double windows keep out street noise so quiet and calm after a long walk.

Fantastic value, hotel owner, and location
I am leaving this hotel now after two great days here. The hotel owner Luis Catiñeira is fantastic - kind, informative, and great fun to have a glass of wine in the evening with and talk about Galicia or mountain biking. The location is exactly what you want - right across the street from the old town (there are hardly any hotels in Combarro, and this is the best located). And the hotel is clean and very comfortable. Breakfast is great too - and I’m vegan which is not easy on Galicia. You won’t find a better bargain.

Great Family Run Hotel
Great Family Run Hotel!!
Simple. Great Location. Great Views. Great Hosts. Very reasonable.
There is also a wonderful cafe directly next door Cafe Mirabous,,, where the locals eat.
The room comes with a great regional breakfast. Simple and wonderful. The owners are terrific and very caring. This is probably the cleanest hotel I have seen in years.

Hotel Xeito is a small, family run hotel in the middle of Galacia, Spain. At first glance its just another side-of-the-road hotel on the way between Pontevedra and Santiago. The rooms are simple but very clean. They come in 2 flavors - 2 twins or a 1 double. They have a small TV and the walls are fairly thin.
But Luis is probably the best hotelier I have ever had the chance of knowing. Extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating.
We arrived at 1am, after a long drive from Madrid, and he was there to welcome us and help us get to our room.
In morning, the view from our room of the water was fantastic. And just across the street is a great walking path which follows the water. There are old shops and restaurants and you feel the area is ancient but welcoming.
While the room was right about a busy street, the hotel has 2 sets of double pane windows and a metal shutter which do a great job of blocking the sound from the road.
The hotel has a small cafe for breakfast (ours was included in the room price) and there is a great restaurant adjacent to the hotel for any other meal (try the "jamon iberica" pizza!).
If i ever went back to the area I would definitely stay here again without hesitation.
