Terminal Information - Departing
Most flights from Tel Aviv to Rome Fiumicino depart from Ben Gurion Airport Terminal 3. Ryanair flights depart from Terminal 1. Terminal Information - Arriving
Rome has two airports, but all direct flights from Tel Aviv arrive at Rome Fiumicino (FCO), named after Leonardo da Vinci. Rome Fiumicino is the biggest airport in Italy, located in the town of Fiumicino, 26 km southwest of Rome. The airport has four terminals. The fourth one is called Terminal 5, and that’s the terminal that serves all flights from Tel Aviv to Rome Fiumicino.
The fastest and most convenient way to get from the airport to the city center is by train. A single ticket costs €14 for the 30-minute ride when you buy a return ticket online and print it out. There are several bus services on this route, and they cost €8-10 for a round-trip when you buy tickets in advance. You can also purchase a return ticket for the Airport shuttle bus for €11, the journey time between the airport and the city center is approximately 75 minutes.

Things you should know
If you are planning to book flights from Tel Aviv to Rome Fiumicino, make sure your passport is valid for at 90 days after you plan to leave Italy. When you arrive at the airport, you will see separate lines for EU citizens and non-EU. If you enter the country with your Israeli passport, the border control officer will check that you didn’t stay in the Schengen area more than the maximum time allowed, meaning - no more than a total of 90 days in half a year.
