Osaka has two airports:
Kansai International Airport (KIX): All international flights arrive at Kansai airport, located on an artificial island in the middle of Osaka Bay, 38 km southwest of Osaka Station. The airport has two terminals; Terminal 1 is the main one, and Terminal 2 serves low-cost carriers.
The airport is connected by the Sky Gate Bridge R, a road/railroad bridge to Rinku Town and the mainland. The lower railroad level of the bridge is used by JR West and Nankai Electric Railway. JR West operates the Haruka limited express train services to Shin-Osaka and offers "Kansai Airport Rapid" services to Osaka. Scheduled express bus services called "Airport Limousines" are also available from both terminals.
Osaka International Airport (ITM): Although it has the word “international” in its name, this airport serves regional and domestic flights. If you are getting to Osaka via another destination in Japan, you might land here. The only direct rail connection from the airport is the Osaka Monorail, which stops in the northern suburbs of Osaka. From there you can connect to other destinations by rail or bus.
