Terminal Information - Departing

Ben Gurion Airport TLV: Flights from Tel Aviv to Madrid depart from נתב”ג - נמל התעופה בן גוריון Terminal 3. You should arrive at least three hours before departure time to allow sufficient time for security check. The train station is just outside the terminal, but if you fly during the weekend, there is no public transportation to the airport. If you have the hand-scanner magnetic card, you can skip the borders control line and proceed to the Duty-Free stores.

Inside the terminal, you will find a food court with several restaurants and cafe to satisfy any cravings. There is an unlimited free Wi-Fi service and power sockets are spread around the airport and the gates. If you have a premium credit card, you can get discounted or free entrance to the Dan Lounges. Elite members of EL AL can also relax in the King David Lounge.

Terminal Information - Arriving

Flights from Tel Aviv to Madrid arrive at Adolfo Suárez Madrid–Barajas Airport MAD, one of the busiest airports in the world. The airport has five passenger terminals named T1, T2, T3, T4, and T4S. An underground system connects the terminals. Air Europa operates at T1, EL AL, and Iberia at T4. Connecting flights with Pegasus and Wizz Air are serviced in T1, Brussels Airlines, Lufthansa and Swiss passengers will arrive at T2.

The Spanish railway company, RENFE, connects the airport with Madrid airport through the local train network service "Cercanías" C1 line. You will find the station on the T4 floor -1 and is called Aeropuerto T4. There is a shuttle bus service from the other terminals. Single Underground Ticket plus Supplement Airport starts at €4.50 - up to 5 stations; €0.10 per additional station, up to a maximum of €5 for journeys of more than nine stations. This ticket is only valid on the day of purchase. A ticket that allows entry and exit on journeys between any of the Metro Zona A, MetroSur, MetroNorte, MetroEste and TFM stations, and the Airport T1-T2-T3 and Airport T-4 stations costs €6.

There are also buses to different destinations, including a night bus service. Metro line 8 takes 13-15 minutes to T1-T2-T3 metro station (first stop at the airport), and 20 minutes until the second metro station at the airport (the last stop), at T4. Things you should know

Before booking flights from Tel Aviv to Madrid, make sure that your passport is valid for at least three months after your expected date of leaving Spain. You don’t need a special tourist visa. Spain is in the Schengen zone, so the border control officer might check whether you have stayed in the Schengen area more than a total of 90 days in half a year, which is the maximum time allowed.
