Terminal Information - Departing

Alitalia, EL AL, and Vueling operate Tel Aviv Rome flights from Ben Gurion Airport Terminal 3. The train station is located just outside the terminal. It arrives every 30 minutes, but there are no trains on weekends and holidays. Inside the terminal, there’s a large selection of Duty-Free stores, where you can buy pretty much everything, from electronics to clothing and shoes, suitcases and watches, candy and even hummus. With the “פטור ושמור” service you can leave everything at the airport and pick it up when you return to Israel. There are numerous restaurants and cafes where you can dine. Premium credit card holders can relax at one of the two Dan Lounges. Even if you don’t have a premium card, you can enjoy the lounge for a fee. If you are an Elite member of EL AL, you can pass the time until boarding at the King David lounge.

Ryanair operates cheap flights from Tel Aviv to Rome from Terminal 1. If you travel by train, take the free shuttle from Terminal 3; it departs every 15-20 minutes. Terminal Information - Arriving

Fiumicino Airport FCO: Named after Leonardo da Vinci, Fiumicino Airport is the biggest airport in Italy, located 26 km southwest of Rome and has four terminals. The fourth one is called Terminal 5. All flights are landing at Terminal 3. The fastest way to get to the city center is by train. The Leonardo Express non-stop service leaves every 15 minutes with a journey time of 32 minutes to Rome Termini railway. Regional FL1 trains to other stations in Rome, including Rome Tiburtina, departs every 15 minutes on weekdays and every 30 minutes on weekends and holidays. Price starts at €9. Several buses connect the airport to the city center which cost €8-10 for a round-trip when you buy tickets in advance. You can also purchase a return ticket for the Airport shuttle bus for €11, and you will reach the city in approximately 75 minutes.

Outside the terminal, there are plenty of taxis. The rate is €35-50 depends on your final destination. You can also rent a car or a scooter at one of the rental agencies at Rome Fiumicino Airport.

Ciampino Airport CIA: If you are booked a flight from Tel Aviv to Rome via a stopover and arrive at Rome Ciampino, you will find ATMs, change, restaurants, and shops. The airport is located 12 km from Rome, and serve mostly flights operated by Ryanair and Wizz Air. Getting from the airport to the city is quite simple, take the €1 bus, or go to the taxi rank. Things you should know before booking flights to Rome

Make sure your passport is valid for at 90 days after you plan to leave Italy before you book Tel Aviv to Rome flights.
