The airport has two terminals: the main terminal for international flights is Terminal 3, and the smaller terminal for low-cost international flights and national flights is Terminal 1. If you commute to the airport by train, the station is located near Terminal 3. Passengers departing from Terminal 1 can take the free shuttle from Terminal 3. The shuttle departs every 15-20 minutes, and it takes about 10 minutes to get to Terminal 1.

Tel Aviv Ben Gurion Airport offers you unlimited free Wifi in both terminals for the whole duration of your stay. If your battery is weak, there are many sockets spread across the airport free of charge. Ben Gurion-Tel Aviv airport offers an excellent variety of stores of clothing, electronics, books, candy and much more. You can eat in any of the 13 restaurants and cafes. There are two Dan lounges for travelers with discounts for credit card holders and King David lounge for the Elite members of EL AL. The Duty-Free area at Terminal 1 is smaller with fewer eateries, so make sure you bring something to eat!

Terminal Information - Arriving

Gatwick Airport LGW: easyJet flights from Tel Aviv Ben Gurion Airport TLV to London Gatwick LGW arrive in the South Terminal. The fastest way to get to London is the Gatwick Express train, 30-45 minutes ride depending on your destination. The National Express bus has a 1.5-2 hours journey time. The easyBus transfer is the low-cost service and just like the flights - the earlier you book online, the less you pay.

Heathrow Airport LHR: Flights Tel Aviv London-Heathrow land in Terminal 4 if it’s EL AL or Terminal 5 if you fly with British Airlines. From either terminal the fastest way to travel to the city center is the Heathrow Express train, the journey time is about 20 minutes. The cost-effective way is the underground. The Piccadilly line will take you to the city in 50-60 minutes. You can also take the National Express buses with a journey time of 40-80 minutes.

Luton Airport LTN: After flights from Tel Aviv to London Luton, you can take the train, Green Line bus or easyBus low-cost transfer. Always look for a return ticket option, it can save you a lot of money. From all airport, you can also take a taxi to your destination.

Stansted Airport STN: The train station is located directly under the airport terminal. When you book tickets online in advance, prices start at £7 (₪33.50). The train will take you to Liverpool Street.

London has two additional airports, City Airport LCY and Southend Airport SEN, but there are no direct flights from Tel Aviv to these airports.

Things you should know

For all flights from Tel Aviv to London you need to use your passport which must be valid for at least six more months. You should arrive at Ben Gurion Airport at least 3 hours prior to your departure to allow security checks.
