Cheap Transavia Flights

Transavia is a low-cost airline from the Netherlands. Even though Transavia operates for more than 50 years, the airline launched its first route from Israel only in 2014. Today they are flying to four destinations from Tel Aviv: Amsterdam, Lyon, Munich and Paris. By doing that Transavia increased the competition and helped to lower the ticket prices for these routes. Whether you are looking for your next vacation or planning a business trip, Transavia has something for your budget. With Skyscanner, you can compare Transavia flights and find the lowest prices for your desired destinations and dates. When you book a Transavia flight from Israel to Europe, Skyscanner doesn’t add any extra fee.

Why Fly With Transavia

How to Check-in:

Transavia opens its online check-in service between 30 hours and 4 hours before the flight. If you check online using your cell phone, you can show up at the check-in counter at Terminal 3 in Tel Aviv with your boarding pass on your phone. If you check in on the website, you must come with a printed boarding pass. You cannot show a PDF file on your phone. It is fast, easy and free to check in online at Transavia. If you have made a reservation shortly before scheduled departure, you could check in at the check-in counters at the airport in case your booking hasn’t been processed yet. If you are flying to Munich or Paris, you may use a mobile boarding pass on your return flight back home. If you purchased “Plus” fare, you are allowed to change the date of your trip up to 14 days before departure. “Max” passengers may do so up to 2 hours prior to departure time. If you have Max ticket, you can also change the name and enjoy priority boarding.

Baggage Allowances and Fees:

Fortunately, Transavia has a relatively flexible and generous baggage allowance. You can have a carry-on item such as trolley no larger than 55x40x25 cm. On busy flights, you might be asked to send it into the hold free of charge. The maximum weight you can bring into the cabin is 10 kg. Every passenger may check-in up to 50 kg divided up to 5 pieces of luggage. Maximum weight per item is 32 kg. The fee for checked luggage depends on the route. “Plus” passengers have 20 kg baggage allowance at no extra cost. If you have a “Max” ticket, you may check in up to 30 kg of luggage.

Seating

If you want to keep your Transavia flight cheap, a free seat will be randomly allocated to you when you check-in. If you want to have your favorite seat, you can reserve in while you book the flight or afterwards until 48 hours before departure. If you fly with friends or family and you want to sit together, it is recommended to reserve seats. Transavia cannot guarantee that you will be sitting together otherwise. Standard seats have 74-76 cm legroom, and they cost €4-6. Seats in the first row have 91 cm legroom, and you can have it for a €15 fee. Seats with extra legroom 86-100 cm can be booked for €10. If you have Max fare, you can choose your seat for free. “Plus” travellers will only pay if they pick a seat with extra legroom or in the first seven rows.
