Corsair is a French airline, specializing in long-haul flights to leisure destinations in the French overseas territories, Africa and North America, as well as charter flights. It was founded on May 17th, 1981, and although it has only seven planes on its fleet, Corsair is the second largest French airline in terms of the number of seats. Its three Boeing 747-400s used to have 582 seats, now reduced to “only” 533 for more space and comfort. The airline also has two Airbus S330-200s and two Airbus A330-300s in the seven-plane fleet.

Corsair, a subsidiary of the German Tui Group, operates 1-2 weekly charter flights between Paris Orly Airport and Tel Aviv Ben Gurion Airport, usually served by A330-200.

How to Check in

Corsair allows you to check in online between 48 and two hours prior to your departure time. You can then print your boarding card, or have it sent directly to your mobile device. During the process, you will be able to select your seat. Please note that on charter flights rules may differ. Regardless of the flight type, you can check in at the airport. You should arrive three hours before your flight time to allow enough time for the security screening. Check-in counters close 60 minutes before take-off.

Baggage Allowances and Fees

The checked luggage allowance for all sectors except for Africa and Madagascar is one bag of 23 kg for Horizon Class and two bags of 32 kg for Grand Large Class. Traveling between France and Africa / Madagascar, the checked luggage allowance is two items of 23 kg each in Horizon Class and two items of 32 kg each in Grand Large Class. In addition, each passenger can board the cabin with a carry-on item, measuring no more than 55x40x20 cm and weighing no more than 10 kg. You can also bring a small personal item. Rules and allowances may be different on charter flights.


The legroom on Corsair flights is a bit tight, 74 cm in Economy. Economy Premium passengers have 86 cm space. You can reserve your seat while booking. Otherwise, your seat will be allocated to you during check-in.

Booking Fees

A booking fee is charged on all bookings with Corsair, but it is shown as part of the ticket price. Skyscanner doesn’t add any fees or charges.

Service on Board

Standard meals, including diabetic and salt-free options, are free of charge. You can pre-order special meals, including a Kosher option, for €8-€14. Grand Large Class travelers can choose between two hot meals including warm bread and a selection of high-quality wines. The whole Corsair fleet is equipped with 20 cm individual screens. The entertainment system contains ten newly released French and international movies, renewed monthly, in addition to blockbusters, TV shows, and 100 full CDs, as well as video games.
